Can i send the work to trusted client before placing the order?

biggerant

Question

Sometimes some clients come up with a task for which I am not 100% sure that I will do it on the first place. but I thought that if I will give it a try then maybe I will be able to do it. so i told the client that i will send him the work according to his requirements and if you like it then you will place the order (obviously after knowing/analyzing that he will not run away with the work for free.). Is this against Fiverr TOS (sending the work and then if it qualifies the requirements of the client then getting the order placed)?

You can send the work to the client without placing an order but you never know what's gonna happen next like buyer can get disappeared after collecting his project from you even he/she assures you everything.

So it is recommended to use watermark in project before delivering to buyer. If buyer approves your project then place an order and send the work without watermark.

It's up to you. If you worked with the client in the past and you had a great experience then you an do that. But do not send him the source of the original files. If you send all the files and that buyer refuses to place an order then there will be nothing you can do. Also, the support team will not support you.

Suggestion is, If your buyer is asking to deliver the work without an order then provide them a partial work or work samples. and after getting an order deliver the complete project.

Yes that is the point. Thank you for pointing it out. Definitely, I always send the sample or work with a watermark.

Great Point, You can use Watermark as well.

Fiverr doesn't recommend working on projects before an order is placed especially sending the files through inbox. Buyer can just get away with it and there's nothing you can do about it. What I usually do when a buyer requests for samples is that I direct them to check my profile where they'll be able to see my reviews and portfolio. Another option is to show them my previous works that aligns or related in some way with their project. Then again, it depends on your field/service category.
