'Book & eBook Writing' sub-category is no longer available??

Why is Fiverr showing that 'Book & eBook Writing' sub-category and 'Ghostwriting' is no longer available, I was about to activate my gig, but now I cannot it has suddenly prompt me this. Any idea how to resolve this?

There may be a possibility that this subcategory is already over-saturated with too many sellers, and Fiverr does not want to add new members to this subcategory. Or there could be a possibility that Fiverr is considering merging this subcategory with another subcategory. Who knows!

Have you tried contacting customer support?

A glitch, perhaps? Both the subcategory and the service are still very much available on the main site.

that is what iam thinking too, i really hope it is just a glitch

I figured it out! It's a glitch.

I paused my gig, then wanted to update the description, then reactivate.

Well I got this same error you received.

After reading this post, I reactivated my gig, THEN made and saved the changes, and it worked.

As far as brand new gigs, I hope this is not a permanent change. I hope someone can test and update us here.

It might be something to do with the "book & ebook" subcategory recently booking a vetted-only subcategory.
