What is the exact process after a seller (me) accepts a request to cancel?

Question

Hi all!

No real details required, but my buyer wants to cancel after I delivered and completed the order. They're requesting a full refund or partial discount as they're unhappy with my work; my feeling is that at most I can do a partial discount.

What I don't know and can't discover is exactly what happens after I click "accept request" and then confirm to cancel the order. Do I get the option to explain at that point why I feel only a partial refund is appropriate, and enter that amount? Or does the buyer than automatically get a full refund and I have no further recourse? I can't even decline the request as it brings up a "something went wrong. please try again shortly" error.

Yes, now you can explain your problem. But try to deliver always a good job to your buyers.

Thanks - so it definitely doesn't close the dispute as soon as I click yes to cancellation?

I tried and did my best in the circumstances, I think reviewing the conversation most people would agree with me. But that's a different conversation.

So this was terrible advice. Accepting the cancellation doesn't let me explain my problem or go to another stage, it just cancels it. So now I've lost the time and potential income. Thanks!
