Try to do proper marketing. Just copy-paste will not work.

I put up my original artwork for a gig so I hope that attracts people but is it just luck with the algorithm? I'm getting zero impressions, perhaps because I'm new.

The first will be the hardest. Patience is the key. Send offers to briefs if you receive one. As an artist try to expand and create gigs to different categories like book and album covers, etc. Create more samples to add to your gallery.
During my first year here on fiverr I struggle so much the there will be a month or two without a client.
Just dont give up and keep drawing.

The first will be the most difficult and memorable! Give it your all!  Make an effort to market properly and try to response ASAP when someone will message you!

WRONG! Staying active or being online does not help you at all. This myth is spread by sellers who lack knowledge about how Fiverr works.
