brief is nothing... Buyer request was even helpful for new sellers as well as buyers.

In My opinion. Brief and buyer request is the same thing. On brief I can read the buyers' need and if it matches with my expertise, I can send the proposal. But in previous time, I had to wait the whole day for the buyer request and there was a competition among us. WE had to send the message as soon as possible and we also had a limit. But now, I can work freely and when the brief notification comes, I can take my time to check that. This is totally my perspective.
