Is it possible to refund in Fiverr?

membrail

Question

Hey,

I'm considering listing a bunch of gigs in Fiverr and I'd like to have a satisfaction policy where, if the customer is not satisfied, they'll simply get a full refund.

Can such a policy be implemented practically in Fiverr? Does Fiverr incorporate the possibility directly?

Have you read the Terms of Service?

Orders are not eligible to be canceled based on the quality of service/materials delivered by the Seller if the service was rendered as described in the Gig Page. You may rate your experience with the Seller on the Order Page, including the overall level of service quality received.

So, IF your Seller doesn't deliver what you ordered, you're fine to cancel. Granted, there are a lot of foolish Sellers out there that do promise 'satisfaction guaranteed' in their gigs, but that also usually means that they're not good enough to do the job right the first time.

Also, related but not mentioned, if you cancel, the funds go into your Fiverr balance, not back to your payment source.

Wouldn't it be better (and cheaper) just to spend a bit of your time vetting the Sellers you're looking to buy from?

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but OP is a seller, no?

If that is the case, you will not be successful with that approach because you will work for free on your first couple of orders as people take advantage, and then if you refund many orders, the algorithm will bury you from visibility forever.  Fiver wants people to make sales and keep the money, or else they lose also.
