A question regarding scammers on Fiverr

violinvalentina

Question

Hello everyone!

I'm new to Fiverr and have just started receiving my first few orders. I have a question for you regarding a specific client who provided detailed order requirements in a message.
We managed to resolve all the issues, but when it came to payment, he asked me to send an invoice directly to him for payment, saying, "Please send invoice to me to pay you, and congrats to you."

I responded by informing him that it is not possible  and only process orders solely through my profile. This situation struck me as unusual, so I decided to check his profile. Surprisingly, he had numerous positive comments. I'm wondering if any of you have encountered a similar situation, and if so, do you think it could be a scam? I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your experiences.
Thank you all for your replies! 😊

I don't think the buyer is trying to scam you, considering he has multiple positive reviews on his profile. The buyer was most probably asking you to send him a custom offer.

Do you know what custom offers are and how to send them? If you don't, visit the following link to learn more: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360010559198?segment=seller

Thank you very much for the link and for your help. I've managed to figure it out, and the client has paid for the order. I wasn't aware of this process since I'm new, but now I understand.

Good luck to you, and may you attract more great clients😊👍🏻
