Question
elizabethsw97
Hi! I'm new to selling on fiverr, so I really need all the advice to deal with a difficult client.
So basically this one client placed an order without contacting me first and ask me to create a wedding website with his wedding invitation as a reference. When I asked him what kind of design he was looking for, he just said clean professional website and not giving me much information. I even ask other questions to get more information on what his preference is, but he just dodged my questions and instead keep asking me what the final domain name would be and he kept asking me to get the website up as soon as possible. I contemplated cancelling the order, but I was afraid that it would affect my stats. So I decided to go on with the order and told him that since I'm building the website on WIX, the domain I used would be temporary and it'll change according to his WIX account name when I get the account transferred to him later. And as for getting the website up asap, I told him that I have another order that I need to finish and I also gave him a timeline on when I'd get it done. He said ok and that was that.
Exactly the next day, he contacted me again and ask me why the website is still not up yet. And again I remind him that I have another project that I'm still working on and politely say that the reason that I set my delivery to 7 days is that I have enough time to ensure my quality of work. I also promised that I'll get it up as soon as I can. He stopped responding and basically, after this point, his response time is very slow. So anyway I finished his website and ask for his feedback and he just send me a new invitation design and ask me to match the invitation exactly. The design is completely different, but I was so done with him, so I decided to do it so I can be done faster. Finished it again and ask for feedback and he stopped responding. I contacted him every day asking if there was any revision he'd like to make and nothing. So after reading the forum on how to deal with this type of thing, I decided to deliver the work a few hours before the deadline and I thought that would be it.
But a day before the order is automatically complete, he requested a revision and asked me to create a photo gallery page. I told him that another page would be an extra charge and I asked him for pictures for the gallery. He responded that he didn't want to pay and that he'll just send me a picture to be included on the current page. I told him ok and to send me the picture now, but it's been 2 days and he still didn't respond to my messages. I truly don't know what to do now, I just want to be done with this order.
On top of all of this, he kept dodging me when I ask for his email for me to transfer the website. And instead, he sent the website link to all his friends to get the RSVP, despite me telling him multiple times that the website name would change according to their new account name later. I was wondering if I should put the website down for a moment, would that be unprofessional?
Sorry for the long post, but I desperately need advice. What should I do now?
