Hey Fiverr Elite Forum Members!

I'm David (midsummervoice), a top-rated voice-over artist and copywriter, and I'm excited to see so many familiar, talented names here! I always love every excuse to collabrate with awesome people.

As a voice-over artist, I enjoy bringing a variety of styles and tones to the table, adapting to the unique needs of each project. Copywriting has also been a passion of mine, allowing me to help brands communicate their message effectively through the power of words.

I'm from Texas, but because I can work remotely freelancing, my wife and three kids moved with me to the sunny beaches of southern Spain!

But enough about me! I'd love to get to know more about all of you talented folks here in the Fiverr Elite Forums. This is a great place for us to introduce ourselves, share our experiences, ask questions, offer advice, and even explore potential collaborations.

Let's make the most of this platform, learn from each other, and grow together. So go ahead, say hello, and let's start building some lasting connections.

Looking forward to connecting with all of you talented folks and sharing our passion for our work!

Best Regards,
David

Hi David 👋 Good to see you in here! 🙂

I’m Bethany- another voice over artist and have been on Fiverr for 2 years and a TRS for 1.

I like that Fiverr did this! I periodically binge read the regular forum for any new info and insights but haven’t chimed in much- I’m looking forward to seeing what brews in here and learning and growing as much as possible!

Cheers!

Bethany

Hi all! Nice to interact with you. I’m looking forward to our future conversations here! I’m also a video spokesperson and actually just became a top rated seller last week, so I’m a bit of a newbie in the TRS world. I live in Salt Lake City with my husband and two crazy little kids.

Nice to meet you!

Hey everyone,

It seems like a pretty cool hang out here! Great to get to know you all, I’m a london based music producer/mix engineer (maketrack51). I don’t know about the rest of you, but being a TRS has define changed my life for the better! Lots of work and clients, and I’m always looking for new ways to keep the work coming in on this increasingly competitive site.

Anyone else regret their original choice of username and can’t change it?

Fiverr kept telling me I wasn't allowed to use my name lol. So I had to come up with one on the spot. I don't think anyone else had that problem

Hiya!, nice to "e-meet" you, everyone!

It's awesome to see all your faces (kinda!) and having a small insight into your stories.

I've been in Fiverr since 2018 as a Spanish voice over artist, TRS for a few years, plenty of late nights (or early mornings depending on how you look at it!) and sometimes feeling the pain from juggling way too many things at once, but all good fun to be honest, wouldn't change it for anything.

Being fully remote allows me to travel (which I love!) anytime, I'm from Spain (see many of you moved there from other places, good choice!) but currently in the UK, after living in Italy and Canada for a few years. Heading to Thailand in a few weeks.

Looking forward to connect with some of you out there!

Have a lovely one, y'all!

Javier

Hi everyone, my name is Dan and I've been on Fiverr for over a decade (April, 2012) and offer website services ranging from usability/website audits, website redesign, WordPress consulting, and website security.   My profile has 2k+ 5 Star Reviews and I've worked with clients from over 80 countries on the platform.  I also run a web design company full time alongside my wife in a home based office in upstate NY.

Fiverr has provided us a near "unlimited supply of leads" allowing us to work hard during the coldest months of the year and pivot to part-time hours during the warmer parts of the year. We spend a lot of time in nature (camping, hiking, etc) and in our backyard vegetable garden (1000sqft+) when the weather allows it!

I'm not just an experienced seller or web designer, I've been running and consulting entrepreneurs (like many of us here) on how to run web based businesses for over a decade.  I'm always happy to give my "2-cents" when it's asked for.

Hey, my name is Zack, and I've been a TRS since December 2021, offering Google Sheets / Apps Script services. I started my journey on Fiverr in earnest at the beginning of 2020, and it took about a year to quit my e-commerce business and go full-time freelancer, and another year to get top-rated.

The journey wasn't always easy, especially in the beginning. There were many days just waiting for the notification that someone sent me a message. Now those notifications are often interruptions to the jobs I'm already working on. 🙂

I've had to learn how to politely set boundaries with clients, when to say "no" to working with someone, how to work through misunderstandings, how to find the best possible solution in the midst of any situation, and have integrity in a world that often doesn't reward it. I've worked with some people I'm glad I don't have to work with anymore, and worked with others that now I'm friends on Facebook with.

All in all, it's been a journey that has stretched me in many ways I never expected (such as going from someone who hated meeting strangers to someone who's on zoom meetings at least 2-5 hours a week), but in the end, it's a huge blessing in that I'm able to provide for my family while working from home, or road-trip and get work done while at someone else's kitchen table or in their den.

And this week, I passed a milestone of $100K in total earned on Fiverr, which is wild.

What are other people's thoughts on expanding their businesses? I've thought about trying to outsource/get employees, but not sure if you guys have more success with standardized products, or largely custom solutions (which is what I do)?

Another question is what about video calls? I constantly get people who want to jump on Zoom, but my experience hasn't always been good with doing that with people prior to placing an order. I created a gig offering video consult calls (which now they can book directly through Fiverr), but what is your opinion on offering free calls prior to the client placing an order?

Hi everyone, my name is Eduardo and I'm 52. I am based in Brazil and I am a fiverr member since 2018. I became a top rated voiceover recently and things are not so easy, but I am loving the process.

It is great to have an opportunity like this to share our experiences and concerns, once our task is, in many cases, very lonely.

Good luck to everybody and let's share.

Hey Zack, congrats on your success!

1. I think one of those most effective things you can do to increase your business is expanding your offerings, either by learning skills directly or subcontracting.

2. I get paid to deliver great results (output), not for my time (input.) I'm not hired to be an advisor, consultant, marketing director, brand direction president, etc. I put my focus and intent on producing and delivering and not on meetings.

Nice to meet you! 🙂 I live in western NY and there is either snow on the ground or it's cold for most of the year. But May-August it's sunny beautiful 70-80 degree weather and my family loves to take advantage of it with outdoor activities when we can 🙂 So I'm curious- how do you do this? Pricing, availability button?

Wow! This is so inspiring and exciting! Thanks so much for setting this up.

I'm Lara- I'm a certified translator. I've been on Fiverr for the past 2 years, and turned TRS last June, on my birthday! I'm currently also a Community Leader in Mexico City.
I'm also freelancing full-time and currently looking at moving to Spain (where I'm originally from) with my babies and husband, after living 10 years abroad.

It's really nice to see so many successful profiles and people going through the same ups and downs– it's been incredibly hard, yet incredibly rewarding too and I am forever grateful for Fiverr.

I really look forward to sharing insights and learning a ton with all of you. 😊

Hey Everyone,

This is apparently my first day on Fiverr. Hoping to fulfill my radio Jockey fanatsies here, put my voice and it's tone to some good use. I just started this out of a bet to be honest, but deep down, I am actually hoping for a breakthrough. Do be so kind as to hit me up with some good tips on how to work here

I'm incredibly grateful for the invite! So excited to join this amazing group!

My name is Cris, and I am originally from the Philippines, but I've made Australia my home.

Fiverr has been a phenomenal platform for me. Six years ago, I was searching for someone to help manage my online business when I discovered Fiverr. That's when I realized I could offer my own services too. It wasn't until late 2019 that I decided to concentrate on expanding my client base. Like many of us here, I've experienced highs and lows, but I believe those challenges make us stronger in the end. If I could change one thing, I would've embraced the mindset that I can't please everyone sooner. I'm deeply humbled and honored to still be here, happily providing value to my clients while enjoying the flexibility of working anytime and anywhere.

I'm truly excited to be a part of this community and can't wait to dive into the conversations with other fantastic sellers!
