Spam messages are getting out of hand! This morning alone, I've had more than 10. What is happening?!

Please remove the user's name as it is against the rules of the forum.

As for what you are saying, it's been the same for me and many others.

I now have a few quick responses at hand and then, I mark them as spam. Nothing more we can do.

But I do try to be polite and informative in those quick responses.

My favorite one, up until now, was some dude calling me 'dear sweet mother' and begging me for a job. Can't top that.

I guess so, haha. Although I know I had a super funny one a while ago, too, but forgot what it was, there are just too many of them... -_-

Last week, I had a spammer who sent 5 messages, between 3:54 and 4:01 am my time. In the last of those, they asked why I ignore them...

Well at least you receive messages man. Usually if you're high in search, a lot of spammers target you, since you're easier to find. 

I tend to receive more "give me work" messages, which annoy me even more.

Yeah that's pretty annoying, perhaps pointing them to the forum so they can learn some of the tips on here and improve their gig would be a good way to set them on the right path towards the work they are looking for.
