Another option is to ask for their address when they have to submit the additional information. That way the order doesn’t start until you have their address. This is where you want to write a note, such as “Please send the complete name and mailing address where you’d like your order delivered”. If the buyer forgets to do this, the order will remain “open”, and the countdown clock won’t start.
