Gig removed from search after wrongful TOS violation

Recommended Posts

Hey Forum,

I hope you're all doing well. I'm currently having some trouble with my best selling gig and was hoping someone could help me out.

Background info:

I have got a problem with my best performing gig. About a month ago, I received a warning from Fiverr that I had violated the TOS. I was really surprised because I could not think of anything that I might have done wrong.

So I decided to contact the Fiverr Support Team to figure out the reason for the warning and obviously to avoid doing the same mistake twice. After some back-and-forth with the Support Team, they told me quote: "After further review, the warning was issued to you by our system unrightfully and has now been removed."

Apparently the system had made a mistake, which seemed strange to me but I was happy that the warning was withdrawn.

Main problem:

Ever since I received the warning my gig has basically been dead. I have gotten a couple of orders but only from repeated buyers. I have not gotten any messages from new potential buyers. Also my gig stats confirm this, my interactions and clicks are basically zero. So I suspected that my gig had been switched to inactive but it still says that my gig is active.

When I used to search for my own gig from the buyers perspective, my gig used to be among the top 5 gigs basically all the time. Now my gig is not even on the first 10 pages because of the Fiverr system issuing a warning unrightfully.

Steps I have taken:

Obviously I contacted the Fiverr Support Team about this. Unfortunately, all they are telling me is that the ranking changes every day and that it is based on the gig performance among a lot of other factors which they won't disclose. So I have implemented all the changes to my gig which they suggest and still nothing has happened.

In my opinion its not a coincidence that my gig performance started to decline right after the warning. Also, I think the ranking system seems to be a joke when I look at the gigs which the algorithm seems to favour above mine.

I am aware that the Fiverr community is extremely knowledgeable and supportive, so I am hoping that some experienced sellers could give me some tips on what I can do to revive my gig.

Any advice, suggestions, or feedback would be greatly appreciated and I am happy to return the favor in any way possible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Jacob
