Today someone posted on Facebook that he needs a logo designer. So I replied and he gave me his whatsapp number. Then we discussed some basic things. I am currently waiting for my first order on Fiverr. So can I send my gig link and tell him to order through fiverr

I suggest you don't message him on whatsapp though. Instead ask him to message you on Fiverr.
