Others using my gigs for Fiverr Affiliate

Recommended Posts

Hi

I've come across a few individuals using my gigs under the Fiverr Affiliate program.  I have a few questions:

1) Do Fiverr or the individual have to tell me they are using my gigs like this?

2) How can I tell how much traffic has come from those links - there is nothing in the seller program.

3) As a seller, if there something I should be doing to incentive individuals to "sell" on my behalf e.g. saying to people hey promote my gig and you'll get money for it.

Sorry if the above seem like silly questions.

Thanks

Sorry I wasn't clear enough before.

Think of it like this:

You visit a town and have no internet access. You want to know where the hotel is and stop at an information booth. The person at the booth gives you a list of the hotels, and you pick one to stay the night at. The hotel is a franchise chain, and the the chain ownership of the hotel you picked gives the information booth person a small commission. The hotel itself doesn't know about this transaction, beyond the fact that they got some business out of it. In fact the hotel, being a franchise, doesn't get much of a say in the matter, as they are operating under the name of the chain.

You could try asking Fiverr, but that information might be proprietary. Fiverr isn't known for sharing backend data.

The whole point of the Fiverr Affiliates program is word-of-mouth. If you have a good service to offer, people will want to share that in hopes that they can get a tiny bit out of it. (Those people recommending your gigs don't get anything if the people they direct to Fiverr don't buy.)

Hello...

I have had this question for a while and due to the fact that I have been a referral for many businesses and usually it's always like a face to face discussions so I thought of the same concept where we would talk to the gig owner and tell them that we are referring their services to other people and to keep up the good job.

If any of you has tried it kindly share your insights.
