Regarding music that can be used for a lyric video gig

I am planning on creating a gig for lyric video services. One major concern I have is what kind of songs I can use for the gig video to showcase samples of my service. I would like to use somewhat popular songs, but will I face any copyright issues with it even though the service I provide does not relate to the songs?

Yes, because you don't have the necessary rights to use those popular songs for commercial purposes.

Only the songs that you have the rights to use. As in, songs that you have purchased for that purpose (hired an artist to create a song you will use in your gig video, for example), or paid the license for, or songs that are free to use even commercially.
