Getting unexpectedly low number of messages

I didn't change much on my gig since it used to get a lot of views, clicks, messages and orders, until recently.

The number of messages I get now have reduced dramatically even though I'm getting the most clicks I've ever gotten on my gig, 250+ in the last 7 days but I rarely get 1-2 messages a day now, while previously when I used to have less clicks, I would get at least 10 messages a day from interested buyers.  I have tried everything, changed description, changed title, changed price, remained patient but I'm still not getting many messages even though the clicks are still 250+.

But keep in mind, this same gig with higher prices used to get tons of messages and orders even with fewer clicks. 

Has anyone else faced something similar recently? maybe in the past 1-2 months?

You cannot judge the quality of an update overnight. It takes time. Perhaps, two weeks is a fair timeframe.

Also, all businesses have slow days! Do not panic.

Some days I get 5 messages, others 2, and one time, I got 5 messages in an hour. It is arbitrary!

If you get clients at a higher price before, then lowering your prices will not be a concern.

It is sometimes the case that luck plays a role.
