Here in Wales there are plenty of sheep but in other news, how do you aid yourself to sleep ?

Following a guided meditation by 'The Honest Guys' normally sends me into a golden slumber or alternatively I listen to a surah from the Quran, alhamdullah :')

How about yourselves ? 🐑

Well, I hope I won't be judged for this but.... I listen to a podcast about serial killers 🙈

I normally hate podcasts, but these ones are scripted (so no mumbo jumbo talk back and forth) and the people have very soothing voices! Plus, it's not too interesting where I have the need to be awake for every small little detail they mention.

But yeah, I do acknowledge the fact it's a bit strange drowsing off into a lovely sleep whilst hearing about gruesome murder and bloody violence in the background 😅

It's 4 AM here and I'm about to go to bed.😂

Playing word games like Scrabble and Figgerit (I have this one on my split screen right now) make me feel very sleepy. I also play a bit of classic music like Phil Collins and George Michael help a lot too. I'm currently humming the tune of Careless Whispers as I type this and I've yawned twice.

Goodnight/good morning 😴

I don't listen to podcasts but I do watch youtube videos about them.

No, I do not idolize killers. They can burn in hell.
However I am interested in knowing about how they became killers and how they were caught.

I don't think it will help me go to sleep though!! 😅

Oh yes, don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those types who will send love letters to ones who were caught! It's indeed the (I guess you could say cliche) fascination with their psyche, as well as their downfall.

On today's episode; "The Ypsilanti Ripper"- John Norman Collins 🕵️‍♀️

Bran Castle - Brașov 1689:

I am on to your distasteful and deceitful ruse!

This palatable survey may seem composed to invite communal behaviors - if it’s viewed from the onlooker, whose eyes are sunken and with little mind. These rags of altruistic shape shroud only your features - yet your intentions spread nakedly, perversely and they wreak of your true odor.

No. You have not fooled me.

Here you bathe in inquiry! Here you aim to unite the fray, arrayed in the finest curiosity and all over what? Slumber? Do these questions truly gnaw? Do they summons you as melody thrusts itself to the gifted? Do these questions call out to be purified in oceans where the enemy of the righteous dare not swim?

Are your conquests so virtuous and your words so free of thorn? Or inside you is there not a seed of ill fruit? A dark incantation spread from the viral source on the mouths of others? Is this question, this quest, not all dressing? Some broken down play designed to draw out the name of one real actor?

Yes. I know your true motives. Your real question.

You’re asking if I’m a vampire

There you are now; you shudder and feign disorientation. Slipping ever back on your heels as though the edge of the world lay at your trembling feet. Your scruples tattered and your balance violated, here you stand swaying on the pendulum of impermanence.

No doubt you’ve heard the whispers, those instruments of rumor with their reeded tunes. You’ve sung the song of bemusement with the class of cackling hens. You’ve imagined the harrowed instance of confronting me, dreaming of the sweet taste of mortality’s last gasp and in your mind - you’ve tasted the sour sweet of evil’s luscious, last kiss.

Well, here you are.

Hidden behind the public curtaining and faux interest of all who dare to dream. But it’s to me that you beckon.

Is this not what you wanted? Dare you still to confront me when the dark has swallowed you like a creature from the abyss? Will you stand at the ready when the shadows reach for you from the walls and crawl towards you in their spider’s dance? Will your arrogant needling arm you from the night - where winds blow through corridors and the light of each candle extends into the jurisdiction of your flesh, burning and burning ever still?

Then, will you have been contented by this expedition of discovery? When you have your answer - and the gloom has become you - will your forever repose be reward enough? As the concert of the eventide crescendos and awe springs from within you and the terror of many eternities join in a choral song to eat you whole … then will you have knowledge of sufficient means?

Is it then that your lips will know the exoticism of the truly forbidden and will your heart know that not all that can be known, should be?

Is this where you cease and know …

… or have you chosen to live and accept that some answers should not be shaken loose from knowledge’s tree?

Will you tell yourself that tomfoolery is for the young and that fairy-stories are for playfields and wooded trinkets? Will you laugh at such notions like the night terrors with their erotic fables and know, now, that these are only myths for clutch fisted women in heat? Will you laugh at your own notions under your breath and hold hand to chest as you solemnly swear to let go of such mindless convictions?

That’s what I thought

Go into that daylight. Faster now. Go and never turn back.

Of course, I’ll be here should you reconsider. Though I probably won’t be available until the evening.

That's the bit that's important for me.

Yes, counting sheep, here. The classic works like a dream, but I don't count myself, I slumber away to Jujutsu Kaisen's Nanami Kento counting sheep, the VA's voice being supremely suited to drift off, and that's not to say it's boring, at all, just so soothing.

Eeeeeeeek, yikes, dang, those people scare me!! I know that SOME killers were kinda good looking, but still.
I'll never understand those people. I know I know, they can send letters to whoever they like, but seriously...
I'm with you though, those podcasts and TV series tend to have really good narrating voices.

Let me continue the counting for you,
🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 ga gohiki, 🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 🐑 ga roppiki, nana hiki, happiki, etc etc etc.
Maybe you should try Hayami Sho's voice, He will either put you to sleep right away, or keep you awake!

Hi everyone!
While playing around, I end up sleeping with different people and you know what? We snore. I actually don’t know if this just about us as musicians that we pretend to run the business even while sleeping but that’s it. And I hate it 😂

I literally leave home scared about it (and single rooms while touring are like Buyer Requests these days xD).
So, I needed to find a solution to aid sleep. Eventually, I’ve found it and it does not involve neither the 🐑 neither smooth vocals (unfortunately it doesn’t work against these noisy noses):

I gently take out my headphones, put the smartphone (turn off notifications!) or the tablet on the bed and play any hard core punk rock music to get rid of those sinister spirits around the room (and inside my head eheh).

This actually works for me, don’t know why, don’t know how, but I just open my eyes in the morning full relaxed, without any vengeful instincts (speaking of killers…) and ready to face the day 😁

I make sure I stop looking at a screen about 2 hours before I want to go to bed, take magnesium, and if I am just lying there awake sometimes I'll listen to my own meditations...because it's like I'm talking to myself. Well, I am, really.
