So as to avoid having problems with customers, as well as with the site statistics.

No. The timer never stops and cannot be stopped.

No, there is no option to pause the timer. In this case you can request the buyer to extend the delivery time explaining the reason.

Best way it to request an extension from the buyer since the timer can not be stopped 🙂
