Client waiting for update alert...

I messaged a client today, to ask for a link I needed to go with the project. He sent the link, ended with talk to you tomorrow. So I didn't respond.

Now I've got alerts about how my client has been waiting for an update for 12 hours. Is this tied into any stats? Do I need to make sure I always get the last word now?

I don't recall ever seeing this before.

You shouldn't have to always get in the last word. However, if there's a gap in time in conversations, sometimes it'll treat that as a new conversation. I've only seen this happen in the order chats and it doesn't happen enough for me to see it affect my response time. But it might, since I've never had the lightening bolt "quick response" badge on my gigs even though I'm very responsive during working hours.

Just to be safe, I'll just send a "Thanks!" If the buyer responds again with a similar "thanks." I'll leave it like that.

I do know that if your buyer leaves a message with a question mark, it's always best to respond to those messages quickly.
