How to handle the buyer with unclear requirement?

How do you start your first conversation with the buyer as buyer don't have the clear requirement but they need something similar? How do we handle this situation?

You must ask appropriate questions to get clear requirements.

Then, you must inform them accurately of what you can provide so that their expectations are set correctly.

Underpromise and overdeliver. Not the other way around.

Also, make sure that your gig requirements include all the necessary questions to ensure a successful order and satisfied buyer. Think of less common scenarios as well.

I will go waaaaaay out on a limb here and suggest you try something that has never been tried before. What if..... you started a conversation and.....asked questions about the requirements?  I cannot be help responsible for any consequences as this is experimental and has no clinical trials.
