Why do we receive so many spam messages from buyers?

Hi all, 

I am a new seller and waiting to receive an order from a buyer/client. But getting many spam messages instead. As a new seller I have been waiting for a new proper client message but it’s been annoying to get spam messages. How long will it take for a client to approach us? 
  Would we really get any clients for the wait? Please advice.

It is easy to cheat with new seller that's why you are getting spam message.

I feel for you, as I'm also a new seller getting scam messages. One wanted me to join his "team" and pay me hourly $120 (right...), and another wanted to buy my gmail account. It's so frustrating when you hear that notification sound and get excited, only to see it's a scammer.

I recieve at least 5 scam orders a day, and 0 legit ones.

Today, I recieved my first legit order(kind of). Someone reached out to me asking me to design a logo for their friend, I said sure I can do that for them, then they blocked me.

Sigh, I guess it's quite rampant, one sent me a screenshot, telling me to scan a QR code, something about not being able to place a direct order

Ti capisco, anche a me succede quasi ogni giorno, è davvero frustante trovare dei messaggi da parte di truffatori e non clienti veri. Ti auguro di trovare dei veri clienti come lo auguro anche a me

I also received a spam message today. It irritates me a lot because I get some many of them.

I always block and report these users so that they cannot annoy me any more, also they don't negatively affect my response rate.
