I heard some people facing late text alert using android. Need experts opinion on it

You can get fast notification in IOS then android.

Both are good platforms. I would focus more on creating better gigs and enhancing my skills rather than trying to reply faster to a notification. 

I have notifications off, I enter the website often and I have an 1-hour response time. So, I am a living proof that you don't need any notifications.
