What image size do I use for the web?

I want to compress, resize and convert images. What image size do I use for the web? And for social networks?

You should look the answer by yourself.

Simply go to google and browse it.

There are so many dimensions for each different social media.

Plus each Social media have different type of graphic ads - reel, post, header, etc..

Can't mention it one by one as it just waste of time.

I use 1200x700px most often.
I always aim for the product to look very nice in the picture.

At the moment I think I ignore social networks but to give the service for websites. But if a user won't give me the exact measurements of the images, I don't know what to do.

You can not use same image size in all web layouts. because There are different web layouts. so you have to use different image size in different web layouts.

If they don't tell me the width and height of the image, how do I know?
