Check my Fiverr Forum topic:

I am extremely disappointed by whats going on and we should continue doing this and even for longer periods of time until Fiverr realizes that is not the way to treat the people who make the money for their platform!

I thought this was an interesting read for people who offer good gigs here on fiverr

Found it while surfing why fiverr is not good for freelancing.

Add to this read the new ARS system and I wonder why anyone wants to use this portal to work as modern day slaves. Fiverr should be respecting us sellers and giving us a better experience but instead the new ARS worsens the situation. Please move back to the old thumbs up and down. At least it leaves us working for a fair price. For just $3.58 a gig to get rated 3 different ways is really a bad management decision.

Reply to @rocketriver: Hi, I want to add something to this

$5 initial gig price – $1 Fiverr commission + $0.42 PayPal fees = $3.58 -$0.68 (19% Taxes, Germany) = $2.98

Covert that to Euros=2.81

If I would get 100 sales a day, cool, that would be adequate but reality looks more like 1-5 Sales on average.

So don’t get rated and jump to press that deliver button…

You can simply send the work in a message to your buyer before clicking the delivery button…

this way you can work out any issues before resending it in the delivery mode…

This way you can talk to your buyer and see his wants and needs beforehand…

This is the way I do it…

it is my business… I belong to this community as well… freedom of speech… I can disagree that going on strike for a day was just a waste of time… You sit here and say how much you hate the new system… but its now the 3rd and your still selling onhere…

If you hated this new star system so much then your strike should of lasted as long as it took until the system was changed back…

That would of shown true dedication…

you had a whole day “off” but yet you most likely took the gigs that were messaged to you while in vacation mode…

I dont care for the new system… but its here and striking for a day only took money out of some pockets… and some just waited until the next day to message back people…

IF you dont like fiverr.com rating system… then stop selling on here…

I understand the frustration to get used to new changes… but its here… and your clearly not frustrated with the new system to quit all together… so with all due respect…

If your going to fight for what you believe in, then fight longer then a day… one man stopped a tank in 1989 in Tiananmen Square because he didnt budge and roll over…

Your back to selling your gigs… you rolled over…

Dont complain so much… maybe just give 100% on your orders and if you dont care about 100% customer service… then maybe you should leave the site…

Reply to @mimie01:

For me its

after fiverr and paypal fees $3.58 converted to euros €2.62 - mandatory fees such as insurances and taxes = €1.54.

Due to my own choice of gig types the average time i spent so far on the basic gigs 3 hours (yeah i keep logs) = my average hourly rate = €0.51.

I hope the star system goes soon. I had my first order on one of my new gigs recently. My rating was five stars across the board. But 2 out of 5 stars for buy again or recommend. The buyer said the gig was "ok, but not sure it worked for us."

He ordered a gig where we place a link to your website, blog, etc on our Twitter profile. His link was to a website that promoted a version of Altcoins. I used google url shortener to shorten the link so it fits and doesn’t clutter the profile (obviously). And…

…so I can keep track of clicks. Keep in mind our Twitter account is for our horror movie entertainment website. His link didn’t get many clicks. It was up for 7 days, and got 40 clicks total according to GUS. I am not sure what he was expecting though. We posted portfolio pics of our Twitter Profile on the order page. So folks can know who and what we represent. So when he ordered… did he really think horror movie fans would have a huge interest in alternate web currency?

Looks like I missed this; is it too late to join this “general strike?” I’m tired of being bullied by entitled buyers who flaunt the terms of my gig offerings. The prospect of them destroying my good credibility with this new review system is a daunting specter of hegemonic power against us.

Reply to @fungoodesigns: Wow, you have said some breathtakingly alarming and illogical things in this thread, but this has to top them all. I’m going to venture that you are either relatively new to Fiverr or you don’t have a high volume of orders. You are advising me to give the buyer (who I can’t see, have never met and have no ability to contact outside of Fiverr) the finished product in a message rather than in a delivery. I’ve had nearly 1900 orders. If I were to take your advice with some of my less-than-scrupulous buyers, they would simply try to cancel the order once they receive the project and essentially steal my completed work. Then I would be entangled in a customer service rigmarole. CS would certainly be in a bad spot, since I hadn’t technically delivered, but had sent them an attachment in a message, and I would waste hours trying to resolve the matter. I mean you no disrespect, but I have encountered dozens of shady crooks who would have no compunction whatsoever about stealing my work in a heartbeat were I foolish enough to take the insane course you have suggested here.

Despite your unnecessarily confrontational tone and personal attacks on me, fungooddesigns, I wish you well. I really do. But I hope someone on here can provide you with some guidance in your business practices before you get taken to the cleaners. smh
