STEP File only saving as .txt.

I recently received an order and no matter how I save it (clicking the download button, right clicking the file) it always downloads as a .txt file, not a .STEP file.

Are you sure it's a .STEP file in the first place? A file wouldn't just magically change format upon download. Have you tried to change the file extension manually?

That should allow you to change it from .txt to .step – and if the file is really a .step file, it should then work as expected.

That should allow you to change it from .txt to .step – and if the file is really a .step file, it should then work as expected. 

I've been facing the same issues from last few years. To your surprise whenever user downloads a .step file it is converted to .txt extension. (Fiverr should look into this matter)
I sometime deliver a .zip file to counter this issue. If you're a pro used you can change the extension in windows by editing the file but most of the buyers aren't aware of this.

BTW, this issue still exist! I convert my step files to .zip before sending, but this is not a solution. I requested to support team a year ago and they promised to solve the bug. Probably they forgot about it )))
