What the cheese is "Promoted Gigs"?

Does Fiver offer an option to pay them and then they put your gig in front the pack? I sure hope this isn't true for so many reasons. Anyways has anyone used this? and what kind of ROI came from it?

Yes, your promoted gig appears on the first row when a buyer who is a good match for your services searches.

These are my promoted gig stats for the last 60 days. I am happy with my ROI.

Yes sir! 

It sound same as you stated. But, initially, they gave you free credit to use and promote the gig. However, only selected gigs are able to be promoted. 

Once you have used their credit then they will be charging from your account. Basically, they charge on each click of potential buyer on your gig.

 

About ROI, that depends how much clicks and then conversions resulting in those clicks. However, I have found it worthy and my gig did actually promoted.
