This might be my shortest post ever. But it doesn't need more. It's one bullet point. A very powerful bullet point.

Here it comes....

Drumroll....

  • Be great at what you do before you even consider creating a gig.

Anyway, to everyone who opened this thread but doesn't get the direct wisdom Smash has brought in, below is the official explanation from Fiver. 😂

https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360011028318-Managing-your-Gigs

No one can see my Gig, where is it?

Double-check and make sure that you have published your Gig. If you confirm that you have published it, try searching for your Gig by Gig title or using keywords from your description.

Why can't I find my Gig in the search?

In the marketplace, a Gig's position is based on the seller’s performance over a set period. Gig positions are not permanent and can rotate daily.

There are many factors to take into consideration, some of which may include:

  • Order cancellations
  • Delivery rate
  • Responsiveness
  • The particular Gig’s maximum number of active orders in the queue, as based on your seller level.
  • Other Gigs performing at a higher rate.

If other sellers are ranked higher, they may be consistently getting 5-star feedback, delivering on time, communicating quicker, and so on. t all counts. For this reason, ensure that you provide high-quality and original work, avoid late deliveries and cancellations, are responsive, and always remain professional.

Why was my Gig denied?

If your Gig has recently been denied, you will receive an email update explaining why this is the case. Unfortunately, once your Gig is denied, it will not be restored. If you are still having issues understanding why we advise that you review our Terms of Service and our Community Standards for more information.

How can I get my Gig ranked higher?

Promoting your gigs on social media, websites, or blogs is a great way to bring more traffic to your gig. The more traffic, the more exposure you will receive in our marketplace. Completing your orders on time and providing exceptional service can also affect your ranking. As long as you are doing well in these areas, your ranking will improve.

I find it funny that one of the biggest myths on Fiverr – sharing your gig in social media – is even repeated by Fiverr themselves. I guess the problem is that they don't clarify how or where to share it. There's a big difference between sharing your gig in a "Fiverr seller exparts"-group on Facebook and sharing it in a niche-specific area of Linkedin.

If they didn't get my eternally sumptuous wisdom, then they have already failed point 1 on my list:

  • Be great at what you do before you even consider creating a gig.

They do clarify some here: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360010490438-The-How-Tos-Of-Advertising-Off-The-Fiverr-Platform?segment=seller

Advertising off-site is possible. It takes time, effort, creativity, and support. Not every effort will pan out, however, so you have to learn from trial and error. But by following the Terms of Service and using the power of the platform you sell on, advertising off Fiverr can be beneficial to your growth as a seller. Sales are never guaranteed, but you never know until you try.
