Download of Customer List?

Today, I had someone do a quick fix of a job done previously and received an email from Shopify, copied to the Fiverr expert, that the request for a CSV of my customer list was ready for download, with the CSV file attached. 
Is there any possible legitimate reason for this or should I report the seller? (The job had absolutely nothing to do with my customers in any way.)

You know well for what purpose he worked on your site.
I think if it's related to the customer data or something related to the site changes, he might think of keeping a backup of the customer data or if about site backup, by mistake he could initiate to keep a backup of customer data instead of site backup.

 

I will suggest to figure out the matter first and maybe you can ask the seller about this for an explanation.

 

After figuring out the matter, if you think this activity is really suspicious, then you can contact Fiverr support with a report and explain details about how you figure it out.

 

So my personal opinion is it could be the general process of work with safety, or a serious violation to collect leads.
