katakatica
I often hesitate whether I should share such 'small' milestones with the public (as the one you are about to read if you bother to do so) but in a way it's been nice to look back at these and realize just how far I'd gotten. After all, about a year ago I bragged about earning $1000 for the first time (in a month, of course). I remember that at that moment it seemed like a lot and a little at the same time (after all I was living at home at the time, which has changed since then.) My goal for last year ended up being 'keeping it up' and just in general finding what I liked writing - and what I hated. This year started out on a rough patch, I'm not going to lie. Due to... personal entanglements I've started travelling to the city basically weekly - which both forced me to take the weekends off (gasp) and figure out a schedule that worked alongside my newfound 'social life'. (you must be wondering, where is Fiverr even going to fit in here but let me continue just for a second.) Because travelling takes a lot out of me (and Swedish trains are pricy!) I ended up moving up to the city a while ago. It was a bit of a rash decision - but so far it seems to be working! By the 31st of March, I hit over $3000 in earnings (in one month, again.) Not only is that THREE TIMES what I earned around this time last year, but that's... a lot of money (at least for me.) Still not quite perfect, but still... it's a start, I think. (and that's the biggest change in my mindset, I think. It's not an 'end' but a start. I want to achieve more (and more, lol). When I actually realized what happened though, my brain went into overdrive for a second. Sweden is expensive as heck (though cooking for two is actually fairly affordable unless you're me who only knows how to make stir-fries with overpriced wok sauces) but at that second, it looked like I actually will be able to afford living in the capital the way I want to (which to be fair is fairly lavish.) And... I also realised that the sky is the limit. I think up until last month, I was limiting myself even then because of the mindset of 'I'm just a rando Hungarian trying to get into games'. I have so many ideas (but such little time because I had a huge wave of new orders just recently!) I've recently raised my prices (due to relentless nagging...) which probably wouldn't have happened if I didn't suddenly gain confidence in myself again. I'm finding my path, I guess - and Fiverr IS helping me, even if sometimes customers are tough to deal with (or, I make a mistake. Because I'm human and tired, so.) (okay, this has gotten rather rambly but bear with me just for a little longer. I promise I'll post food pictures next time. When I come back to this after hitting another milestone I'll be embarrassed for now I'm just happy ha!) I think 'next' is... I'm not even sure? I have lots of (game-related) gigs that I'm working on in the background, and still waiting to commit to my game (though that is pushed to the back for now due to other stuff going on) but just in general I'm just... going to go on with what I've been doing and see how that goes. April is going to be a bit messy as I'm FINALLY flying home tomorrow but hopefully once that trips is over, I'll be able to work hard (and... also rent out an office space in one of those cute co-working places lol). TL.DR.: Kata made money and she's happy about it.

You say that you are "flying home tomorrow" so you are change's your location. How can you manage your Fiverr account location? Because we know that Fiverr has strict conditions about location changing.

I've been to close to 10 if not 15 countries since my account has been made and never had an issue. Of course if you use a VPN to change your location that's bound to be different - but I'd guess that nowadays tech can sort of understand which one it is. Since there's so many freelancers who live abroad / travel as digital nomads, they can't really punish us for this kind of stuff. What IS annoying slightly is that Fiverr still believes I'm in Italy although I left in 2019... (I'm also only home for one week so I doubt that will matter to the site as I'll be back in Sweden in a few days already.)
