Cannot see 2 Orders in queue?

Hello, I hope you are all well.

I've notice on one of my gigs I have '2 orders in queue". I'm in a position where I could start another commission alongside the one I'm working on now, but when checking my active orders/messages I cannot find any trace of these orders.

Will these orders only appear after I finish my current order?

If I understood your question right, here's the answer. 
"Orders in queue" shows that on how many orders you're currently working on. I wonder why you can't see them in your active orders.
