Do we get organic reach only If we promote a gig?

Recently Fiverr stopped my promoted gigs since then my gig disappear from search results. It's barely getting 3-5 clicks/day. 

It's shocking! Google PPC ads works same way, but that doesn't affect on our SEO/ organic ranking when we stop ads.

Because promoted feature being disabled is not the “cause” but only an “indication” that your performance went down. 
Your performance went down so your promoted gigs got deactivated. And it’s only logical that your organic impressions also go down because they also depend on your performance. 
Low performance- low organic reach 

low performance- promoted feature is deactivated.

If it makes you feel better, the same thing happened to me. And I had a really great organic reach, now it's just plummeting.
