Certificates in gigs

The other day I've spotted sellers who have pictures of their certificates in their gigs. I was wondering if that helps in certain areas (like proofreading, editing, and translations)? Of course, a portfolio would be much better, but due to privacy terms I can't share any of my previous projects (which is a bummer, obviously). Does it worth to share professional training?
