Take a good look at the current gig thumbnails in the search results of your category and try to think of ways to stand out from the crowd. Use appropriate colors that others don't use, use attractive photos or illustrations, don't clutter your image with text, etc.

Actually, perfect edit of gig image is very important to get knocks from the buyers. If your gig among many gigs (especially image & title) can not attract the buyers, buyers will not knock you.

 Your gig image should contain an expression about what you are going to sell under this gig. So that buyers can easily understand what you are selling in the gig. If they find their intended service in your gig image & title, they are going to click on your gig.

There are so many sites, software, and android apps, using them you can design the perfect gig images easily. You should choose one of them with that you feel easy to design. I think you can try Canva.
