False promises

Hey guys,

I just want to share my experience with false promisies and a moral story of it.

I'm full stack website developer and today I had a really bad experience, not on Fiverr but with my personal web development company, yesterday I promised a client something I thought I could deliver within 24 hours, I end up being awake for more then 20 hours straight, coding and working on the project and I fell asleep from exhaustion, I woke up full of stress and without the work being completed. The client ( rightfuly ) decided to find someone else and I of course accepted and I apologized. But I lost time, I was in a lot of stress and I lost a client, probably for good which is the worst thing in this case for me.

I learned that I should never overpromise clients anything from this day, and that I can never do false promising without being 100% that I can deliver it.

NEVER OVERPROMISE, ALWAYS OVERDELIVER!

Thanks for taking ownership of this and being a role model for others to take ownership.  Far too often in the forums the sellers are complaining about a bad experience with a buyer, when it is quite clear it was the sellers fault.

Owning your mistakes, learning from them, and continuing to move forward is the formula for future success.
