Hey, I’m in the same boat. I have asked that and similar questions here, and I’ll try and pass on some of Fiverr’s collective wisdom 🙂

  1. Participate in the forum. I got my first customer because they saw a post I made about my gig. Be sure to put it in the ‘My Fiverr Gigs’ section though. More than that, and this is something I’m just starting to do, answer questions when you see something you can help with. Maybe you don’t know much yet because you are new, but do things like participate in ‘Chit Chat’ and ask questions or look at posts that answer your question. Heck, even liking something might not give you personally exposure, but it helps that person and the community over all by attracting attention to the post.

  2. Your gig descriptions have a lot to do with your sales. I am a writer here, and I was told that if I didn’t have a creative description, then that would hinder my sales. I think the same applies to anyone. Just be business oriented, while also having some creative energy. (Easier said than done, but hey.)

  3. SEO optimization. This would be number one, but I don’t actually know much about it. What I do know, is that it stands for Search Engine Optimization. This means your gig shows up closer to the top of the page, and will get more clicks. Think about it, have you ever gone to the second page of Google? Me neither. Adding a video helps, and also go on the forum and search for posts about it. There are tons. Plus, alot of people’s gigs do that, promote your gig with SEO, I mean.

That’s basically all the advice I can give, but I hope it helps. Good luck to you, and don’t give up!
