One buyer place the order and there is some font missing when I messaged her she didn't reply on time and I have just 2 days to complete and I received late order reminder 😒 I search on Google and I got just 4 fonts 4 are paid...after my struggle and work hard I just submit my order because buyer didn't reply and when I submitted she replied and told me that you can extend your time😒 I don't want to extend because I already waist 4 days I have another work too I want to complete my order as soon as but again buyer didn't respond 😠 what's the behaviour I am not here to waist my time in just one order I spent 4.5 days just because of buyer she didn't sent me exact details and told me to extend delivery time what is this??

You can't be prepared for everything, but you need to prepare against situations that can easily arise in your niche.

Let's say someone wants you to work on a PDF for them. As a service provider with Gigs/custom offers that include work on customers' PDFs, you should (at least eventually) be aware that there may be fonts in there that you don't have and that also are paid fonts that you can't/aren't allowed to download and use for free.

That means that either your Gigs/custom offers need to be set up/priced in a way that they include you paying, downloading, installing those fonts (not very practicable, could be one or ten fonts, prices may vary wildly), or that you need to - before you make a custom offer - check out the file/s to see if/how many fonts there are that you don't have/can't get for free.

Then you can let your customer know that they can choose between:

  • you/your software replacing those fonts with something 'similar' (I'd recommend mentioning that it might not be very similar - Adobe Acrobat, for example, seems to have an interesting view on 'similar' sometimes) and the rest being their problem then, like leaving things as they are if it's similar enough to them, or changing the changed fonts back to the original ones and
  • paying your additional price for finding, buying, downloading, installing those fonts (again, this may pose another issue, as it's possible that they themselves don't own (the right to use) those fonts but the file they passed on to you is their designer's or someone else's, and while then you can use those fonts, they can't, so you may want to bring that up too)

For things that occur or might occur frequently enough, it's a good idea to set up and save some texts explaining the issues as clearly and simply as possible, so you can copy-paste as needed.

You have to be careful not to deliver a partial order though. If you didn't have enough info (or couldn't deliver the full order) it's better to extend delivery than to deliver a partial order since the latter could get you a warning. Though if you got the late order message it was probably already flagged as late and so extending after that would still count your order as late (though if it was accepted it should prevent it going to "very late"). You could ask if they'd accept the different/similar fonts instead of the paid ones or maybe create an extra for the price of the paid ones.

You are saying that the "buyer" is being annoying because they expect you to have the tools and the skills to complete the job.  Perfect.  BTW

I would think that by extending the delivery time, and waiting for the reply, you would not lose the order.  Waiting is not work...its just waiting. Your buyer offered a perfectly reasonable resolution, which was to extend delivery, you chose not to do so because you did not know how? Its is simple to extend your time, you need to learn the functions of Fiverr.
