In these new posts I'll give you Tips to improve as Seller, and I will use my experience as Top Rated Seller. Please refer to my Forum profile where you can find my Fiverr link, since I'll use my Fiverr pages as references.

 

Tip 4 – Profile Description

Ok, you worked to create a cool profile, and also a cool Gig title and description. That’s fine! Now I want to focus on the profile description.

Yes, seems of minor importance, but to tell the truth, it is VERY important. It appears in the profile main page with the list of the GIGs and also in every single GIG page!

As always, let’s consider my Best Selling GIG about Orchestral Music:

“Hey there, I'm a multi instrumentalist from Italy, specialised in Epic, Scifi, Horror and Drama music.

This means soundtracks like:

- Conan The Barbarian

- Alien

- Star Trek

- Game of Thrones

- The Lord of the Rings

- Blade Runner

- Escape from New York

- TRON and many other ones!

Please choose the package (Basic/Standard/Premium), type the number of seconds in the box and click on Continue.

Ok, let’s consider in detail my description, there are many parts. An initial part where I introduce myself, a second part where I clearly recall famous soundtracks to create an immediate connection with the customer memories. (Marino? Yes he does TRON stuff etc etc).

This part is important, because you must be true. Do I really create TRON stuff? Yes, my music in 20 years of career can be clearly explained using those famous soundtracks!

And then, final part: call for action!

A double call,exactly: choose the package / send me a message

That’s all for now.

Um technically what you are doing is sort of implying you were involved in those famous movies and that’s not something you should be doing or advising other sellers to do.

It’s like me listing toy story 1, Frozen 2 and The Lego movie as famous animations I could also be doing. 
 

Also are you really asking buyers to message you so you can discount your pricing? Here’s a tip for you: don’t do that. Unless your prices are already inflated and that’s your strategy.
