Well, one critical factor is that a "real" buyer actually places an order. A fake buyer may ask for samples or free work without an order even created.

"Real" buyers actually adhere to a realistic scope of what the order provides and fill out the order requirements information instead of simply just asking for anything and everything to be done or being incredibly vague in describing what they want.

Fake buyers are always looking for a way to get out of an order, whether by claiming incredibly poor quality work received (which is not a valid reason for an order to be cancelled) or by being underhanded snakes and trying to claim the order payment as being fraudulent after the fact (which is grounds for their account to be terminated).

If you sense something wrong or deceptive with a buyer, your instincts are more likely right than wrong.
