Leaving Fiverr

I am writing this with tears that i am leaving Fiverr as it is not working for me. I was in severe depression and due to that i left my job and decided to move towards Fiverr. I did very hard work, i didn't sleep for many nights as a result i lost my hairs and my routine got disturbed.

When i joined Fiverr i didn't make any sales but after 3 months i got few orders from buyer section and become a level 1 seller.

After being promoted to Level 1 seller, i didn't get any single order. I have 5 star rating on my gig. All of my gigs went to the last page without any reason.

I shared my gig on social media ( Facebook, Twitter, linkedin,Quora) and got few impressions only. .

I feel that now i am done with Fiverr as now i see no hope. Nothing is working for me. I am out of my resources, this was the only source of income for me.

Fiverr has no idea, how hard is for some people to even have three meals a day.

It's not like that i didn't put any effort. I did everything for Fiverr but my account has been archived and i feel that buyers are not able to see my offers.

I am sorry for being so personal on this platform. But i have no one to share.

This forum has been a really great help for me.

Thank you!

I think what you're experiencing is fairly typical. Many sellers (especially newer ones) have periods in which they aren't making sales and aren't getting much exposure.

Fiverr isn't an easy site to make a living on, so I think it's a good idea for you to seek out a more stable income. But consider keeping your account live, if you can. Fiverr can be a side hustle for you -- something you work on when you have spare time. Who knows, perhaps in a few years, when you've grown your profile, you'll be able to make a higher percentage of your income from the site.

As someone who suffers from crippling anxiety (and other stuff...), yes, working online has been a blessing.

But Fiverr isn't this life-saving entity that you can count on. You don't work FOR Fiverr as a company. You are a freelancer (and thus, you are responsible for yourself.) I know this is hard to read, but... Maybe you shouldn't have counted on Fiverr and nothing else. The pandemic hurt us all - and I know it's been rough. But when you work online (especially on sites like this), that's for you to solve, not for the site.

I'm sure you are great at what you tried to do - but maybe there are people who are even better. Or maybe they just aren't looking for it right now. We all have high and low months - and low months are why it's important to stand on many legs (and not just rely on one source of income.)

I'm sad to see you're giving up, but unfortunately you're more likely to find a stable job in a different setting.

Patience/persistence is NOT a guarantee to be successful on this site. That's just how it is.

On my pov, I would say Fiverr isn't the best place where you can bet everything and make it the only income source as a new seller...
if you are depending on only fiverr that will be causing issues, it is fairly normal..

I would say please don't lose hope try your best! That is the most anyone can say...
Cause end of the day you are facing your own hardships(Best of luck in the future)

Patience is more important things my friend. Keep continuing with live account. Later, you will be able to gain more.  It is kind of personal side business.

You should try to make a fresh start from the beginning on Fiverr.

I have also struggled at first, but slowly and steadily gained the momentum.

Now, I look forward to achieve more in the near future. If I can do this, then you can too.

Hey! The same happend to me!

Delivey time 100%

Completition rate 100%

960 reviews, 5.0 average

over 4 years on Fiverr and 2 weeks ago being throwed on the last page for ALL my gigs! So no one can tell me that it’s up to my gig, entire profile has been affected. And i guess it’s a glitch in Algorithm. So many people are reporting these problems where alogortihm throws you literally on the last page of search results.

Yes! Whenever i make new gig with proper SEO, it goes down to the last page after few hours. I contacted CS but they are not helpful at all regarding this issue. It seems that my whole account is affected. I hate Fiverr algorithm.

Fiverr has no idea, how hard is for some people

I’ll be a tough cookie and wouldn’t be saying that I’m sorry to hear about your situation 😉 it is unfortunate but sometimes a cold shower helps better than crying together. Some of us do need a magical kick from time to time.

so here is a thing: it looks like you didn’t have a clear plan to your target. Quitting a job because of depression and hoping that fiverr will do it for you is not a plan.
Just an example: I was working 15 hours a day (real hours, not staying online and refreshing the page). I had a full time job and I was building a side business for over 2 years before I could say that now I can quit my job to be a full time freelancer. I did not rely on fiverr, I relied on myself and building different ways on earning money, if fiverr is gone tomorrow it will not hurt me as a freelancer and my income. Depression or not I HAD to keep going .

You need to have a life plan and never, NEVER rely on a platform with your income, otherwise it’s no different from gambling your own life.
