I’ve gone from 37% all the way down to 9% and I’m starting to freak out!! I depend on Fiverr for income to pay my bills and now business is drying up. This is probably the lowest my conversion has been in 3 years! GRRR.

@adnagem I have always focused on the up-sell. Even in slow times, my clients that almost always order the extras and those repeat buyers carry me through no matter what the case. Perhaps trying to utilize extras better to cover yourself for the potential upcoming down-time might be a good idea. Sorry to hear things are rough.

The problem is not you actually and it is normal what you feel.

With regard to the business model of Fiverr, there are many people jumping onboard and proposing services that they can’t provide, therefore deluding the effort good freelancer put in the work.

There are two effects to this:

  1. Buyers falling on bad sellers due to the many
  2. Buyers running from using Fiverr because of the bad experience

So, as Freelancemm said, focus on the people who have already used your service by providing them with good quality work. It will drive the recurrence.

    Sorry to hear that

I support gndeuchi. I think there’s a lot of new seller that keeps on coming everyday burying old gigs with a decent service. I can see that the problem here is exposure. Maybe its about time for fiverr to filter services otherwise there will be a hundred thousand gigs about logo making and none is getting a good income. For a year fiverr has supported me with my financial needs but now I’m starting to doubt that it won’t be the same. I now thinking to work away from fiverr if no improvement. I hope this don’t happen to all. By the way my gig has a nice cover, 600+ positive ratings, fast delivery, fiverr apps always on and now I even leave my computer turned on 24/7 with loud email notifier.

yeah, i’m on day 3 of an empty queue. some super seller i am, right? XD i have noticed the oversaturation of new users lately, but i reckon i just need to suck it up and hang in there like i did the last time this happened. i’ve been spending the downtime updating my gigs and videos, so at least that’s getting done!

Mine too has dropped…

How about the “fiverr ads” that they run in your gig description area, a potential customer that has picked your gig out of all the others then comes to your gig to read more and then gets distracted as they see competing ads for same type gig.

That works on your conversion rate. Good for fiverr but kills the seller…again

I think it’s because of the new changes in the system. Seems like they updated the search engine and other minor things in the site today.

Yesterday and today have been some of the worst days I’ve had after V2 kicked in.

Same here guys! Actually that’s why i came in to see if someone else has the “forgotten gig” problem, i am sorry to see that i am not the only one.

I checked my competition, they seem to have 50+ in queue but for a couple days i got nothing.

Everyone, remember fiverr.com is a Symbiotic relationship here… fiverr makes money when we get orders and deliver them and make money. So really it does seem that most people on the forum are the “Sky is Falling” crowd. There will be ups, there will be downs but remember the business of fiverr relys on the sellers getting volume and delivering high quality and great value. Focus on the long term everything will be fine.

My sales too have gone down drastically over the past few days. I’m a full timer too so it makes me nervous when things happen like this. Glad to hear that they are doing some upgrades in the search system and I really hope everything will get back to normal in the coming days.

I want to blame the holiday as I was on a great double digit per day orders streak, and then as soon as Friday hit, down down down. I want to say, hang in there for a few more days, but I too am stressing just after having the best month I’ve had so far on Fiverr. It’s amazing how quick it can go away. 😦
