How and where to attach our portfolio link.

Hey Guys I can't figure out where to paste my portfolio link. First I Pasted it in my Profile's description but they marked it and told me that I cant place any link in profile description. So i pasted it in my GIG's description. Is it Okay to embed our portfolio link in our GIG's description? I want to know if it will effect my GIG ranking or do any kind of effect. Thank you Guys in advance.
