I'm just curious! With the end of the year so close, are you doing anything interesting / different (not necessarily tied to your niche. Can be anything from renovating your house to learning how to shear sheep...who knows :P) 

I'll go first.

I am officially working on my first game. 

Most of it will most likely be outsourced (not the writing and HOPEFULLY I can get someone where I live to help me do the coding/teach me how to do it) but art/music will take a moment. But... yeah. It's in progress. It took me a long time to even decide to make a game (and not just webnovel) but I think it's going to be worth it. Currently mapping out the first arch - and all the different routes/characters. 

(...and trust me, it's going to be good :P)

So... what are YOU working on in  your free time?

I don't think I'm working on something I can call a "project," but I did get a little ahead of myself and made this Christmas wreath which will be hanging from my door next month. I wanted to create a "vintage" looking wreath so after looking at some photos on Pinterest I got a pretty clear idea, went to Daiso, bought all the materials ( about $9 in total) and this is what I came up with.

I'll also be making a ginger bread house too 😄

As for me, I'm not into something really new but still...I'm working on a new giant hand-drawn mandala and trying to make sense out of a plot for a sci-fi story 🙂

I'm trying to figure out the next chapter of my career.

I am getting ready to retire from the US military after 20 years. It's definitely been a journey. I have a side business of writing ebooks - which I thoroughly enjoy, but I'm losing more than making at this point. I only have it on Amazon. Funny how some cheapskate will return a $3.99 ebook after a week. Lol 😆

So, since my writing is a hobby and not a moneymaker, I have to plan on the rest of my life. I don't want to to do the brick and mortar thing again. Freelaning was/is what I want to do. The question is what? 🤔

Right now, I'm just spending time with my puppies, getting ready for Thanksgiving &   Christmas. I guess my current project is shopping for holiday stuff!

Just getting ready for Christmas....I am building up an e-commerce site of my own which will include christmas and new year's products 

Sounds like I'm doing something awful, does it?

Some of the people where I'm at are considering making out 'own' chocolate bars - but we might do some other crafts as well! Love that wreath and the personal touch! I don't recall ever making a gingerbread house - might be the year to make one!

Still not 100% sure - the plot would fit an RPG but the funds currently don't (unless I find an artist who is willing to share profits instead but.. my freelancer heart would hurt not paying someone for their work! I might just go for a visual novel first and then see where it goes!

that sounds difficult! I can barely make sense of my own plot right now, so I know how it is!

I hope you figure out what to do! Closing off a chapter is always hard but... doing something new is always good! I'm sure you'll find something that's both profitable AND fun.

nope, sounds like a cool trial for a business 😄 That being said I know very little about ecommerce. I love shopping online but for now stick to bigger sites (...and don't expect much, ha!)

It's always so hard for me to picture how much space that might be! We never make a whole turkey (just legs/breast) but our freezer is huge so I'm always thinking 'it would fit for sure!'...

That being said now that I'm co-living, it was hard to fit my tiny container of blueberries in the fridge, so....

I love the wreath! Very cool about the game work. Congrats on retirement and good luck with your book, Gina.

I've just finished being a 'production manager' for a children's book project featuring my Mom's Christmas poem from long ago and my son's artwork. He's a children's book illustrator (among other things). I'm working on a horror novel and trying to teach myself ASL (American sign language), though it's not going too well. My fingers get tired from all the typing, I think.

AWE GAWD, I think you posted a picture of your FABULOUS looking Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago (or was it Christmas??) and boy did it make me want to hop on the plane and join your family for dinner. Seriously, if I ever get invited, I'll bring the best Japanese wine with me!! 😋 😍🤣

OK, I know it's too late for this year, but for next Thanksgiving I'm flying over to your place!!!

I think you would have to wait for me too.

My plans for the new year is graduation, due to the instability in this part of the world, we've got to add a couple of month or years to our expected time of graduation.

After that, I'd be planning on winter vacation to the middle belt (eastern side) 😆

All you've got nice plan and I'd be stealing most for next halloween
