There are days I wish it was possible to ignore everything and work all day (and all night).

But... We all know these peeps are just being encouraged to use weird plug-ins because that's what the gurus preach. Honestly? I've had less orders than normal the past few weeks and I'm using this time to catch up with longer orders (...And admittedly, relax a little).

I understand the desperation of people who think fiverr will change their lives but it's just becoming sad.

I think the idea that just by looking at your own fiverr profile for twenty four hours a day you will magically get orders and business brought to you sounds too enticing for new sellers not to try. Just like all the malicious pop-ups on shady websites, spam emails promising to reward large sums of money, if you just make a little payment of 20k dollars and so on. People believe what they want to believe, not what is true.

For some people, fiverr does change their lives for the better. These are people who put real effort, time and thought into their work. And then there are sellers that I have to regularly report and shut down, because they can't be bothered to make their own gig image or write their own gig description. They don't want to put any effort into their craft, expect everything on a silver platter and demand help and advice without giving anything back or even bothering to describe what their issue is that they want help with.

Dude, come on, my eyes were locked on my profile all day and I was getting so many orders. As your post got my attention and I started reading it, orders stopped immediately! Haha.

On a side note, I'm awaiting to see spam comments saying 'thank you', 'this really helped' and so on. It's sad this forum is full of those non-constructive comments.

They don't want to put any effort into their craft,

I think the issue is that these people have no craft whatsoever. There is a huge difference between a struggling artist trying to come here to help make ends meet and the 23221313th person making a gig on (fill in the blank here) because someone told them no talent/skill is needed for it. While Fiverr has helped me greatly at becoming a writer... I just feel that some people are 'knocking on the wrong door' and they just... never realize it. But I agree with you - the easier a solution seems, the more people will try it! I've seen several sellers complain about not getting orders, only to see their descriptions were stolen from someone else. I... just don't get how this is considered the 'right' solution by anyone. (plagarism, I mean.

Did you use face tracking technology? I heard that if you open your camera on your laptop and stare at your fiverr profile for 24 hours, you can get many order and many sucesses.

This is one of the bigger problems fiverr has. It has no barrier to entry which attracts the worst con artists there are. I've seen sellers who offer to convert word .docx files to .pdf as their gig. 🤷‍♂️

I'll be honest, at first I didn't take fiverr too seriously. I was offering a gig that did not require too much effort and could be delivered quite quickly. Surprisingly, my first order took me 8 straight hours of work trying to find a solution for the client. They asked me for something quite different than what I was offering. Even though it was quite a stressful experience, I've learned a lot from that first order and found a decent niche in the market where I could utilize my skills working with different photo editing & enhancement software.

Yeah, it seems to be quite a big problem. Although as I've been taking care of such sellers in my niche, I see them less and less.

Same here, when I first started Fiverr years ago, I thought OK, I'll give this a try. (Originally I was only thinking of working on it during the summer break, but it just kept on going.) I still made sure my gigs looked good and I spent hours doing research etc of course. Even though I was able to deliver my gigs much faster back then, it wasn't because my gigs didn't require effort, it was because I was ALREADY at a certain level where I was capable of finishing them rather quickly, and on top of that I had way lesser gigs/orders and I was able to take my time. I can see a good number of people seeing Fiverr as just a way to make extra money and not being too serious about it, but you STILL need to have the right skills. The other day I was bored enough to see one of those "How to make money on Fiverr with no skills" video on Youtube, and that was 15 minutes of my life I have wasted. I should've known better.

I'd say the words "logo designer" and "online marketing expert" will go in that blank?? 😅
