I just wanna talk about stuff that ain't about spam

Hi my fellow Fiverrland dwellers,
I hope you guys are all doing fine.

Is it just me, or the spam situation here is getting worse and worse by the day, and I really need to scroll up and down a lot to look for a topic
that doesn't say help me check my gig I got my fifth order pray for me why is my account gone how can I get orders help me help me help me help me.
I know that spam was always a thing, but dang, it's really gotten worse.
I was thrilled to see @gina_riley2's post about International Slang because I knew it was going to be a fun topic.

So I thought OK, I'll start a post that might be fun. Not sure, but here it goes. It's random, and it has nothing to do with Fiverr.

What's this ONE thing you can't do, but would be cool if you can? Nothing serious, in fact even if you are able to do it later on, it won't change your life or anything.

Mine is finger snapping. Yup, that's right, I can't do it.
Every time I TRY doing it, all I hear is this pathetic "shlap" sound. I've tried watching so many tutorial videos on Youtube, both in English and in Japanese
but so far it ain't working. So why in the heck would I want to be able to snap my fingers?
I dunno, I just feel like it's kinda nice/cool if you are able to produce that sharp, crisp SNAP sound every now and then.

I guess another one is that whistle thingy, the one where you create a loop with your thumb and forefinger, and let out that really loud sound.
Again, I tried watching Youtube tutorials but all I did was spray my PC screen with my DNA. I know, it's gross.

OK people, please entertain me.

I can't wink with my right eye. Well, winking with my left looks silly to start with but at least it works 😄

Ah, and I can't peel soft-boiled eggs. (now, THAT technically is a life-changing thing, given that I'd need them for egg-salad sandwhiches OR to marinate (I don't know if the official name is 'ramen eggs' but I love them...not only with ramen 😛

...the spam situation is...weird. Part of me wants to engage and post and stuff but it feels like whatever you do your post (or comments) gets pushed away by either spam posts or spam posters.

But to be fair, things did change a bit for me - since I live with lots of people (houseshare!) I don't need that daily dose of communication from here right now. But it'd still be great if...the forum 'worked' haha.

Maybe this is a common issue, but the people I know have no problem in doing the thing I have never been able to do.

And that is touching the tip of your toes while standing, obviously without bending the legs.

My back is literally made of marble when I try doing that.

Hey, when I try to wink, it looks like something's in my eye or I'm just twitching.
I've seen some friends/classmates from the states and my Italian coworker wink and damn, they do it well and look so damn charming. You can see a little twinkling star flying out when they do it. When I try it I'm sure people will hear a farting sound. It's OK though, people don't wink in Japan and unless you're an anime character if you try doing it in real life people will just go PPPFFFFFFFT. 😏

I think the secret is to do it everyday for a few seconds ( or minutes...?) and by the 30th day you'll get an inch closer to your toes, and if you keep doing it, your fingers will say hi to your toes by Christmas. Or Valentine's day at the latest!
Or if you happen to have a Great Dane or a Saint Bernard at home, you can tell them to leap on your back. I'm sure there's enough weight to push you down.
(of course I'm joking, please don't hurt your back)

Okay this might gonna sound ridiculous but here it goes! I'm from the Netherlands so cycling is like one of the main ways of transportation. On our cycling paths there are lines to mark the difference between a left and right path (to differ between the ways people are going). It's not one ongoing line, but it has spaces in between. So whenever I pass someone and 'merge' back into my lane, I have to cycle right in between the spaces. If I go over one of the stripes my entire body just tells me that it feels wrong. Sort of OCD behaviour I suppose where you can't really explain the feeling, but your body is just telling you it doesn't agree with what you just did.

So I wish I could just go over the little line without my body & mind planning a mutiny because I cycled over it! I tried to explain it in a way it didn't sound absolutely ludicrous but.....I failed. As I typed this and reread it, it actually sounded even more absurd but ah well 😂

It would be great to roll back the years. I play football (soccer) regularly, but as every month goes by I'm getting slower and everyone else appears to be getting faster!! After all these years, I've now got the experience, but not the fitness!  Who was it that once said "Youth is wasted on the young"? 😃

I can't do proper push-ups

Oh, me neither. I have to add it to my previous reply.

So, I have:

- Can't roll my tongue

- Can't do proper push-ups

- Can't spell gratuito (=free of charge) properly. I'm pretty ashemed of this one but I just can't pronounce it properly even if I'm native

I can't dance but I'm surrounded by people who can. And it just feels weird when everyone else is dancing and you have to pretend you're doing something on your phone.

And I can't say hello to people first, unless I'm doing it on behalf of someone else. Not really about pride but in real life, it just feels hard to walk up to someone and say hello (perhaps this is pretty important but I don't see it that way)

I also can't whistle...

I couldn't even do this

Not sure if I should be proud, but I can hold my hands together behind my back. 😄
I can also do this and my coworker REALLY freaked out when he saw it:

BTW I can't do pushups either. I've tried it numerous times, but immediately my arms starts shaking and I end up kissing the ground.
I CAN parallel park, but it takes ....well, a long time.

I'd be proud! Just looking at it is oddly satisfying to me. It feels good but my wrists are still 4" apart when I try.

In the name of science can you do it at the same angle??? hahaha

I was referring to being able to stand on one leg, not how the other one is folded 😑 dang when I look at it closely it does seem to be an optical illusion of sorts.. 😅 flamingos are weird 😅

Ah yes, dancing.
I have NO plans of dancing or going to clubs (I hate crowded places and loud music) but it would be nice if you just happen to be a great dancer and have a random chance to show it off to your friends.
Another thing I'm not good at is singing. It's not that I'm the worst singer on the planet, but I am far from being a good one.
It would be cool if I can improve my singing skills.

And oh, the ability to sleep whenever I want.
Some people are blessed with that skill, and me getting random and unwanted visits from Mr. Insomnia every now and then I wish I could just lie down, close my eyes, and fall asleep next to my snoring cat.

I'm a teenager so I have no plans of going to clubs either but I just don't want to feel attacked when I see memes about people who can't dance 😂. As a matter of fact, I look thin and flexible but I'm pretty sure my bones are ossified..
