yes you can use this really good feature if your gig is eligible for promotion 

for that you just need to click on CPC cap inside gig promotion.

and choose Fiverr recommendation"promote with no caps"

you can also choose "promote with customize cap" but make sure your bid rate must be higher/equal to competitor price

Sorry to hear about this bad experience. No one can help you with this issue. It depends upon you. Maybe you were not activated properly. Stay online always and share your gig on social media, Hopefully, your gig will be ranked slowly but not so fast.

Search on fiverr category-wise. Select minimum 10 HQ gig & check what types of keywords they used. List them & search again, is their gig on 1st or 2nd page? 

If yes, then check how many gigs are available! List out minimum number of gigs keyword and take best unique 5 keywords. 

Finally use them in Title, Description and tag section.
