Question on buyer requests - Can we only see requests for the categories we sell in

Question on buyer requests - Can we only see requests for the categories we sell in? I go to the Buyer Request link and it says there are over 61000 requests but I see like one or two a day and when I check back, sometimes days later, a lot of the same requests are still there.
