I am a book editor on fiverr and there is not many buyer requests.

I had an issue last month with changing keywords and my views and clicks dropped drastically so recently I have turned to buyer requests, I am relatively new to this and no one has even messaged me from the 27 applications I sent. What do people recommend when applying to jobs. I wish I could send a portfolio but you can’t really with book editing . What tips do people have for getting sales from buyer requests

(I have a 2hours response average, 4 5stars reviews 100% deliver on time rate and 100% order completion and have pretty good gig descriptions and photos in my opinion )

I glanced at your profile. You have two gigs that are essentially identical, which will not inspire confidence in Buyers looking for uniqueness. I also saw a few spelling/grammatical errors, which, in the 'proofreading/editing' space, can eliminate any chances.

Concerning your gig images: https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360016244757-Gig-Images-Dos-and-Donts

Adding a profile image would probably also help. https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360011421118-How-to-make-your-Fiverr-profile-stand-out

Concerning your making offers to the Requests, I personally only have a 3% conversion rate (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversion_marketing), and none of those were recent. Competition is crazy fierce, and standing out means paying attention to details.
