I have been really shocked by a sellers response to me asking to change something really fundamental in the gig.
His response was rude and horrible.
But there is no where to do a proper complaint. Here is what he said

SELLER SUGGESTED A MUTUAL CANCELLATION. REASON:

female first i hope you cancel the order a you have disrespected my work. if you think you can copy and paste such thing i would like to see it from you personally! but you have lack of respect for your sellers and i am not surprised to hear that from you .i never accept to work for such people . what i did is a flyer if you know what a flyer is then you know i did it right. you never told me to edit the text and put bold crap in it. you made this up. and also the only mistake i admit i did leave the subtitle which i honestly forget but i reject to work for such people like you . im a professional and you can check my reviews and see how people are satisfied. you look like you nag and brag alot and i refuse to do business with you and i will make a complaint to fiverr if you do not cancel the order and another buyer had a warning from the same thing he said when he disrespected me for a misley $4. go pay $400 for such flyers.good luck!so to avoid any warnings to your account i would like to cancel the order so hope you agree. bye!

Hey, I can completely understand where you are coming from. I had a similar problem just now - there is no way to complain effectively on the fiverr site. They offer an automated robot service, which just does not help. My seller won’t communicate with me, despite him not providing anywhere near the service we agreed at the outset. I would be very wary of using Fiverr in future.

@psychoveda

Hi,

It’s unfortunate that this person you’re dealing with has such poor communication skills, and possibly some pent up frustration. I would be grateful they’re offering a cancellation so you get out from under this purchase and move on. It doesn’t always end so smoothly. 🙂

@loveniaslovenia

Hi,

It’s not Fiverr. It’s an individual. As Buyers and Sellers we each have a choice as to who we buy from and sell too. We also have a responsibility to ourselves to perform due diligence when choosing a Buyer or Seller.

HI, I paid for a gig to fragglesrock and waited etc, long story short he never did anything - I got a message from fiverr that - he did not complete his gig and I can cancel - I requested and yet no refund this is the 2nd fiverr photoshop gig I purchased and no result - any suggestions?

Let me guess…you paid 5$ and expected the world for it… 🙂 The story definitely has 2 sides … I never understood people that complain for 5$… I don’t think that I will ever understand 🙂 oh well

Reply to @cre8iveartwork: just like this ladies story has two sides your has too. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for $5 or thousands of dollars. Buyer has behaved inadequate to his customer. But as you said we don’t see the other side of this issue as the creator of this discussion has decide not to disclose her chat lines. We’ll that says something about her, right? I’m glad that customers can not leave a feedback when the order is cancelled and they receive their money back. They would do great damage to buyers, just like this lady with a fiverr returned in her pocket does on this forum.

cre8iveartwork it’s interesting that you seem surprised that buyers expect the service that the seller has advertised! be it free, $5 or $5000.

If a seller thinks that for $5 their service will not match the service they advertise then please spell it out, so the buyer is aware and can make an informed decision, if not then the buyer is being mislead. A buyer trusts the sellers advertisement and pays in advance and waits to receive the service.

And yes if a seller is advertising the “world” then it is reasonable for the buyer to expect the “world”.

Wasting client’s time seems to be fragglesrock’s specialty. Offering to complete a logo in a week, and then on the due date attempting a cancellation reveals the major flaw of Fiverr’s approach: no accountability. For $5 or $5000, a sellers competence must be objectively ranked, so that excellent sellers get recognized.

I had the same thing happen to me from a buyer, wanted it done it was fine and then he was very rude and wanted a new logo and wanted a refund told him for $ 4 bucks it;s not worth it…

Reply to @adviser2u: you are right my dear! I’m a seller but I agree 100% that if a seller says “I will do something awesome for $5” then the buyer has every right to receive something awesome for $5. If that same seller has an extra that says "I will do something extra awesome for an additional $10, then buyers get to chose whether they want awesome for $5 or extra awesome for $15. The seller shouldn’t deliver less than awesome for $5 and the buyer shouldn’t expect extra awesome for $5. As long as everyone behaves in an honest and responsible way, then everyone leaves happy.

I may not be a top rated seller yet, but I think Fiverr would back me up on this.

Reply to @cre8iveartwork: what does that (extras and fast deliveries) have to do with pottergreens comment? There is no need to blindly defend every seller when there are plenty of sellers screwing buyers over and don’t deserve to be defended.

Pottergreen is right in saying that it is wrong for a seller to provide his buyers with a time-line and then to cancel right before it’s due.

Your a top rated seller, how can you not see that as bad behavior?

I am having a problem with a gig. I Purchased a gig to have a logo designed. I paid extras for higher quality images etc. I looked at the examples the seller had posted. my order came without the extras. The quality of design was nothing in comparison to the examples posted. I explained that I didn’t like the design and that it wasn’t comparable to the examples. The seller replied but failed to answer any of my concerns.

I came here for some advice and I am more confused than ever. I paid more than $5 so does that mean I should expect a better service and quality.

As a customer can I complain or have I to just give my money to sellers and if they don’t deliver say keep it its only a fiver, what was I expecting.

I have used fiver a lot and recommend it a lot. But this experience and seeing sellers attitude on here makes me feel buyers are vulnerable. Or should we all just post gigs promising a service and not delivering and have a standard email saying what did you expect for a fiver. Easy money if you want to be a con man or woman.

This doesn’t solve the problem that I have paid over the odds for a piece of clip art and txt. Is this the dark side of fiver I haven’t come across before ?

Good evening
I just post my incredible story with a seller on fiverr. I have a professional website that I opened for almost 5 years. I decided to do an update of Fragglesrock. So I found a supplier on fiverr. I relied assessments that provider. These were rather positive. The update has been successfully completed with installation of a new thême. Unfortunately, like any update, there are often worries. So I contacted my problems to the seller who wanted me to close the project when significant bugs appeared. No mail sending or receiving. My menu and also had other problems. Seeing my refusal to close the project, the latter to put my site offline and most worrying is that I just realize I wiped my database site. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give me. This person took my site hostage, and asked me to close the project and it will then bring it back online. I do not know what to do anymore.
