Please let me know what you think of my new gig!

Jumping here to respond.

So, you were thinking of splitting you gig into two? I'm guessing both will be proofreading, but different types (like web articles and short stories)?

I'd recommend editing/modifying the one you've already made, and then making a new one, rather than deleting it and starting from scratch twice. About the only thing that cannot be edited in a gig is the main category (and it might still be that, if you pause the gig first, that can be edited).

I'm not sure I know of any Topics/Threads here on the forums that specifically discuss 'splits', but I can recommend a few general posts, such as.

https://learn.fiverr.com/courses/online-freelancing-essentials-be-a-successful-fiverr-seller (Free Fiverr LEARN course)
https://www.fiverr.com/support/articles/360011094958-SEO-tricks-for-gig-titles?segment=seller
https://community.fiverr.com/forums/topic/104668-marketing-yourself-just-do-it-heres-how-upyour/ (ALL of his UPYOUR Topics are good, even if it's just for the discussion that happened in them)

(And, if you don't mind me making a small plug, I did write one such thread myself. It's a bit outdated, the formatting is gone, and most of the links are broken... but a lot of the basics still apply! It's also LONG, fair warning, but it is divided with 'section tags' and ctrl+f is your friend.)

---

Unrelated to that question, I did notice a piece of odd phrasing in your gig.

I appreciate you responding at such length.

I was just about to do some video editing again when the thought occurred to me that my gig could be split into two, one for the proofreading subcategory and another for the copy editing subcategory. The way that it is now seems a little too complex, and I wonder if that's at least part of the reason why Fiverr separates the two.

URL's for existing gigs are fixed, as you mentioned in your 2020 post, and mine combines both key words. For this reason, my thought was to delete the original and create two new gigs.

I completed the course, searched the forum, and spent some time on the highly valuable UPYOUR topics. I didn't see anything about splitting gigs up but can check again.

Yes, I agree. Sometimes phrases that people use when they search can be awkward looking. I found a few of them when I was doing my research!

I forgot to link the last one I'd intended. Oops. (So, um, no need to double check. Sorry.)

Just checked and I've already closed the tab. And I used an incognito window, so I can't ctrl+h.

Um...

I used Google, rather than the forum search option. Copy/paste this, exactly and the whole line:

site:community.fiverr.com "splitting" "gig" "two"

Not many results, admittedly, but if you visit any of those longer pages, use ctrl+f and "split" to find the advice given to others who posed the same question. The link I intended to share is somewhere in those results, but I don't remember which one. (The fourth result, I think, concerning the 'voice-over' seller?)
