For those who don't follow links (and there are a bunch who don't), here's just a few suggestions.

1. Don't use a copy/paste cookie cutter template responses, or at the very least, use a template response for the "bare bones" of a response but then substantially modify it with information pertinent to the buyer's individual request.

2. Don't use overly familiar or gender-assuming language. No brother, sister, sir, miss, or madam.

3. Actually read the request and address/mention the needs stated by the buyer and how you are able to deliver upon them. Don't simply reiterate everything the buyer said, but convey that you understand what they desire and how you are able to fulfill their needs.

4. Know when NOT to send an offer. There's a plethora of requests that demand huge amounts of work done for an absolutely pathetic amount of pay. These "buyers" intentionally prey upon new and desperate sellers to willingly submit themselves to freelance indentured servitude. Just stay away from such offers and save yourself from the mountain of hassle (and possible scams).

Haha! We all know its more than a "bunch" 🤓. Plus the whole other crew who end up commenting with bad tips, letting the comments with useful tips get buried, others who can't discern a bad tip from a good one and the cycle continues.
